"May the high spirits of Ganesh Chaturthi stay with us forever just like the blessings of Ganpati Bappa"
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated to welcome Lord Ganesha into our homes. He was born on this day. People bring and install the Ganesh idol in their homes and temples. They decorate their premises and sing and dance for eleven days. Lord Ganesha is the symbol of wisdom, understanding and auspicious beginnings.
To celebrate the festival and make children understand the significance of Lord Ganesha, the activity of 'Clay Modelling' and 'How to draw Ganesha' was conducted for classes 2 and 3 respectively on Tuesday, 30th August on the school premises. It started with the story about Lord Ganesha's birth and the story of how Ganesha considered his parents his whole world.
The teachers demonstrated how the Ganesh idol could be made with the help of clay modelling. Students enhanced their kinesthetics skills too while drawing the pictures of Ganesha. Thus, children enjoyed thoroughly these activities.
